S T U D E N T   G O A L S
  1. Having the ability to play a huge repertoire covering classical, contemporary, blues, jazz, and more.              

  2. Experiencing playing as a natural self-expression.        

  3. Having a highly positive, self-affirming experience with music learning.                                                            

  4. Developing the ability to self-generate (the ability to progress independently). This includes developing a foundation of music reading, writing, composition, improvisation, arrangement, structure and theory, etc. 

N E W S

W H A T   Y O U   W I L L   L E A R N 
  1. Play a variety of songs and styles                           

  2. Correct hand positions, fingering, posture, quality of sound and piano technique, but also listening, development of personal music perception, and “getting the groove.”                     

  3. Knowledge of music theory and music history.    

  4. Understanding how to practice.                              

  5. For technique and improvisation development my students play scales, chords, and arpeggios.   

  6. Learning how to read and improvise with chord charts.
